Handpicked Fishing Club - Spring 2026

$175.00

Our Spring Fishing Club is a small-group, hands-on experience where children learn the art of fishing while building confidence, patience, and a love for the outdoors.

By the end of the session, students will be able to set up their own rod, tie their own hook using a reliable fishing knot, and fish with growing independence and confidence.

They will learn how fish live and survive, understand the basic anatomy of the fish they catch, and develop awareness of freshwater ecosystems and water conditions.

Beyond the physical skills, students build patience, responsibility, and perseverance. Fishing naturally teaches them to slow down, pay attention, and trust themselves through real experience.

Most importantly, they leave with the confidence that comes from learning a skill they can carry with them for life.

All equipment and bait are provided. No experience necessary.

Each session includes gentle instruction, guided practice, and time to explore and enjoy nature in a supportive setting.

Start Date: March 20th | Dates: 3/20, 4/3, 4/17, and 5/1 | Cost is $175 | 4 Sessions | We meet bi-weekly on Fridays in Orange

Early Bird Registration BEFORE March 1st - $150

Handpicked Fishing Club is a family friendly outdoor experience designed for families and children of all ages! Our goal is to build confidence, skill, and a lifelong love of fishing -- while creating meaningful time for families to connect in nature. This is a relaxed, supportive environment where beginners are welcome and experience anglers can grow.

Fishing club meets every OTHER Friday for a number of 4 Fridays from 4pm to 8pm.

Families are welcome to arrive and depart at any time during the session.

**Enrollment is limited to 12 families to ensure quality instruction and safety**

Preparation:

  • We provide rods, reels, bait, and supplies for fishing. All you need to do is show up!

  • We ask that you do not purchase or bring the kiddy-style fishing poles as these are harder to learn with.

  • Pack your picnicking or camping supplies like blankets and chairs and pack a dinner for the family!

  • All fishing is catch and release and we will provide a lesson, go over fishing ethics, and provide some learning materials as needed.
