Ever wonder what happens when you actually let kids — BE kids? At the Handpicked House, this is our mission — to create a space where kids don’t have to grow up. They can be exactly who they are and we’ll meet them there! The Handpicked Education’s overall mission is to support homeschooling families with exceptional needs. Homeschooling is not meant to be one size fits all and that’s the beauty in it. At Handpicked House, our goal is to support you and your student in your first years of homeschooling.

The Nest

The nest is our Early Childhood & Lower Elementary program, offering a gentle unhurried education for children from preschool through 1st grade and 2nd grade through 5th grade.

    Mondays & Wednesdays | 10am to 2pm | Preschool to TK

    Nestlings is our Preschool to TK program for childrens ages 3.5 to 5. We tend the nest — creating a rich, sensory environment where curiosity is cultivated and the love learning takes root naturally. At this age, our focus is on building strong and healthy foundational habits that support a love of life-long learning.

  • “We cheer the first flights.”

    Tuesdays | 10am to 2pm | Kinder to 1st Grade

    Fledglings is our Kindergarten to 1st Grade program for children ages 5 to 6. Here we cheer the first flights, building stronger foundational skils and nurturing the growing independence each child needs to carry them confidentetly into their school years. Our Fledglings program emphasizes the continued value of play, imagination, movement, and sensory exploration to further refine and sharpen our fledglings skills.

  • “We build the wingspan.”

    Thursdays| 10am to 2pm | 2nd through 5th Grade

    Kestrels is our Elementary program for children ages 8 to 11. Small but mighty, the kestrel is known for its remarkable focus and precision, hovering with total stillness before acting with confidence. In this program, we build the wingspan, strengthening foundations skills in ELA and Math and equipping each child with the capability to soar into their next season of learning. This is a once a week program as we aim to be a support to your work as your child’s main educator.
