Register for Tadpole Day!
Each spring, when the rain returns and the ponds come alive, we gather for one of our favorite nature traditions: Tadpole Day! Together we visit a special spot where tadpoles reliably appear this time of year. Children spend the morning gently catching and observing tadpoles, watching them wiggle through the water, and learning first hand about the incredible process of metamorphosis. Through simple exploration, children begin to understand how frogs grow and change, the role amphibians play in the ecosystem, and why wetlands are such an important habitats. It’s a joyful, muddy boots kind of day where science comes alive through discovery.
To protect the habitat and preserve this special spot, the exact meeting location is shared only with registered participants. This helps us keep group sizes small, minimize environmental impact and ensure the area remains a thriving home for wildlife year after year.
Registration is required in advance and once registered, you will receive the meeting details and guidelines for our Tadpole Day gathering.
