The Handpicked Education & Co is a California, 501 (c)(3) nonprofit, established in 2018. Our mission is to support families as they intentionally choose an education that reflects their children’s needs, their values, and their long term goals.

Through community, enrichment programs, and practical support, we help families grow in confidence and wisdom as they navigate their homeschool journey. We believe learning should be thoughtful, meaningful, and rooted in strong relationships — not rushed or one size fits all.

  • Yes. The Handpicked Education & Co is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and donations are generally tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. Donors will receive a receipt for their contribution. Please consult your tax professional regarding your individual circumstances.

  • Your generosity directly supports the work of The Handpicked Education. Donations help us provide scholarships, develop meaningful educational programs, purchase materials and supplies, support our educators, and create opportunities for children and families who might not otherwise have access to them.

    You may also choose to give specifically to the Freedom Bee Fund, which helps us provided reduced tuition and scholarship opportunities to families in our programs.

  • Yes! We love building community with people who believe in what we’re creating. Opportunities may include helping with events, fundraising, special projects, gardening, classroom enrichment, or sharing your own skills and expertise.

  • Yes, when they meet a current program need. We may accept new or gently used educational materials, books, art, and gardening supplies, classroom furnishings, equipment, and other items that support our programs.

    Because our storage space is limited, please contact us before dropping off an in-kind donation so we can confirm we are able to use it.

  • Yes. We are honored to accept gifts made in celebration, honor, or memory of someone special. If you would like your gift acknowledge in a particular way or would like us to notify someone of your donation, please contact us after making your contribution.

  • Yes. When designated giving opportunities are available, you may choose to direct your gift toward a specific fund or initiative, such as the Freedom Bee Fund. Undesignated donations allow us to direct funds where they are most needed to support our mission and programs.
